Pastor Connie Kuhlke
I was born and raised in the Appalachian Mountains of Southern West Virginia. Some call it the “heart of the coal fields”. My father was a coal miner and a Pastor. My mother was a full time homemaker with 8 children to feed and take care of. This spiritually rich heritage of faith, family and culture overcame anything I lacked in the natural. And, it is from this foundation that I have built my life.
I am married to Steven Kuhlke who I met in college. We now pastor Columbia Church of God here in Columbia Maryland and travel and minister throughout the United States and other countries. We have 2 sons, David and Nathan.
With 20+ years of ministry experience as national and international conference/retreat speaker and being a local pastor, I have concluded that it is the “simplicity of the gospel” that touches hearts and changes lives.
“Wise Women Build” grew out of seeing the desperation and listening to so many women of all races and tribes as they cried for help. I could no longer just pray for them and give them encouraging and challenging words. I knew I needed to do something more.
In anguish of prayer to the Lord concerning this I began to see that the Lord wanted me to equip them and put tools in their hands and show them how to use them. That is when the scripture from Proverbs 14:1 “A wise woman builds her house” began to be more than a phrase I used in ministry. It needed to become activated.
I saw the need to teach women how to accurately read the “Blue-Print” we see in the Bible, in order to have the knowledge and wisdom on how to build their house and their lives.
I am an Ordained Minister in the Church Of God, Cleveland Tennessee, an Associate Pastor with Columbia Church of God, Columbia Maryland and a Student at Lee University.
